B4251 between Gelligroes and Ynysddu could reopen Wednesday

The B4251 Newport Road between Gelligroes and Ynysddu, which was closed on Friday because of a landslide, could reopen tomorrow, Caerphilly County Borough Council has said.

The local authority said its engineers were hopeful that the road could be reopened to single lane traffic on Wednesday.

The B4251 Newport Road between Gelligroes and Ynysddu remains closed, but our Engineers are hopeful that the road will re-open on Wednesday to single lane operation.

Public transport firm Stagecoach is operating a shuttle bus serving Ynysddu while the road remains closed.

Due to a land slip @CaerphillyCBC have provided a shuttle bus ‘56A’ which will serve Ynysddu whilst the road is blocked please see the timetable here https://t.co/iXmSqyRChM
