A new unisex hair salon recently opened its doors in Oakdale and trade is already booming.

The new venture Ghost Hair has been set up by husband and wife duo Sean and Lynzi Price, who decided to open their own salon after working for others.

After just a month in operation they are already looking for a trainee to help manage the client list.
Sean said: “We thought it was time to take the plunge ourselves.”

The salon is on the main square in the village of Oakdale.

The venture has been backed by a £500 Business Start Up Grant administered jointly by Caerphilly County Borough Council and Tata Steel subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise.

Lynzi said: “The grant was a massive help when we launched the business as it helped us purchase essential equipment.”

Gail Hannam of UK Steel Enterprise said: “We are very pleased to have been able to help Sean and Lynzi in their new venture and wish them every success for the future.”

Councillor Sean Morgan, Cabinet Member responsible for Economy, said: “Sean and Lynzi will make a great success of Ghost Hair as they are off to a flying start.”
