News | | Published: 17:46, Friday April 20th, 2018.

Tributes have been paid to Gareth Williams from Bedwas

The family of the motorcyclist killed in a crash on the A468 in Lower Machen have described him as a “true gentleman”.

Gareth Williams, 60, of Bedwas, was killed in a collision with a car yesterday, Thursday, April 19, at around 7.50am.

In a tribute released to the media, Mr Williams’ family said:”Gareth was a true gentleman who found happiness and fulfilment through his family.

“He was the most loving, selfless man and devoted husband and father.”

Specialist officers from Gwent Police are said to be supporting Mr Williams’ family.

The driver of the car received hospital treatment and has now been released and is recovering at home.

Officers are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are asking for anyone who has any information to call 101 quoting log 84 19/4/18.
