A 70-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Nelson.
Emergency services were called to an address on High Street at around 10.40pm on Wednesday, May 8.
The 67-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her death is being treated as suspicious.
The man, who is said to be from the area, is currently in police custody while investigations are carried out.
