Motorcyclist flees from crash in Caerphilly, leaving passenger with serious injuries

Police are looking for a motorcyclist involved in a car crash who fled the scene.

A passenger on the back of the bike has been left with what are described as “serious injuries”.

Police and emergency services were called at around 7.40pm this evening, Wednesday September 11, to Pontygwindy Road, Caerphilly.

A man who was a passenger on the back of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police have said his family have been informed.

A woman, the driver of the car involved, was also been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Officers are appealing for the male motorcyclist to come forward as he may nee medical attention and to also help with their enquiries.

The road is currently closed while officers investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
