Police say Abercarn death “not suspicious”

Hill Street, Abercarn

The death of a 60-year-old man at a house in Abercarn is being treated as “not suspicious”, Gwent Police has confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the house, in the Hill Street area, at around 11.10pm on Thursday, September 12.

A cordon had been placed around the house while police investigated and a postmortem has since taken place.

Police initially treated the death as unexplained.

The man’s family has been informed.
