As a group, E.H Elites won the Best Backstage award, as well as the Best Use of Cast award.

Performers were joined on the tour by their families and choreographers, with around 130 people on the tour all together.

The parents also scooped a prize at the competition, claiming first place in the Parents Lip Sync Battle.

Meanwhile, the group’s Zac Idzi won the Judge’s Special Choice award for his guitar playing, while Ellie Auften won the Star of the Show award.

The group travelled to the event on buses, catching a ferry from Pembroke to Rosslare before heading to Cork, where they stayed in holiday villas throughout the trip.

The group’s director and choreographer, Audrey Mitchell, described the competition win as “amazing” and said she was proud of her group’s achievements.

The competition featured acting, singing and dancing

Ms Mitchell, who is originally from Ireland and has been going to the competition for a number of years, said: “There was a lot of travel and it was expensive but it was great that the families trusted us.”

It was the second year the group has competed at the event.

The group will be moving its weekly practice sessions to Bedwas Workmen’s Hall, having previously been based at St Cenydd Leisure Centre.
