A Caerphilly-based poet will be launching his new book at the Municipal Club concert hall in Caerphilly town centre.

Kelvin Smith’s book, called Why Do I look like the milkman, Mam?, will be launched at 5.30pm on Thursday, November 28.

The launch event will be held to raise money for the charity BRACE – Alzheimer’s Research, in memory of Caerphilly boxer Don Braithwaite BEM, who passed away in 2017 aged 81 after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

There will be a bar with free tea and coffee at the event.

Mr Smith, who released a children’s poetry book earlier this year, called Poo-etry for Kids, said there will be “adult humour” at the event.
