A new, online platform designed to support start-up and early-stage entrepreneurs has launched, providing free, daily lunch-time workshops.

As more people than ever are now having to work from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many early-stage founders are struggling to balance the need to develop and grow their business alongside their day-to-day operations.

StartupClub, run by small business experts TownSq, will provide daily, virtual workshops across the UK to help founders address such concerns and give them the guidance and support to stay on track and prepare for the future.

Workshops are open to anyone and will be delivered by industry experts, covering a range of topics from business planning and marketing through to networking and finance.

Never miss an update

Join 1,500+ residents who get the borough’s top stories, local events, and updates sent to their inbox every weekday evening for free.

Founder of Caerphilly-based TownSq, Gareth Jones said the support will help founders stay on track: “These are extraordinary times, not just for enterprise, but for almost all aspects of our lives. However, if there’s one thing that founders and small business owners have shown over the years, it’s that they are resilient, and in that comes the opportunity to grow.

“StartupClub is something that we have been developing for some time, usually taking place offline at one of our hubs across the UK. However, we always planned to launch an online version so that anyone in the world could potentially benefit from our fantastic experts, and we felt now was the right time to offer this support.

“I’d encourage anyone currently working on their business who feels they could benefit from this free support to head to the website and sign up. The working world may well look very different once we come through these unique times. Together, we can ensure that though we may now be limited by geography, we can continue to develop, plan and even grow.”
