The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k race will not take place this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The race, which is held each year in Caerphilly town, was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 17 and had been pushed back to September 13.
However, the race has now been postponed until May 16, 2021.
Organisers Caerphilly County Borough Council said it has been monitoring the ongoing Covid-19 situation closely and has made the decision in the interest of public safety.
In a statement, the council said: “With the uncertainty that this ongoing pandemic has caused – we fully appreciate that many of you would have been looking forward to joining us in September to celebrate our wonderful community.
“But for your health, and that of our spectators, volunteers, event staff and the wider population – we believe that this decision was necessary to allow the event to reach its full potential.”
All entries will be automatically transferred to the new date.
Information about race packs, road closures and other details will be announced closer to the event.
