The headteacher of Cwmaber Infants School in Abertridwr has retired after 23 years in the role.

Jayne Price stepped down at the end of term last month.

School secretary Jenny Ralph said: “She has made Cwmaber Infants a place of music and laughter, with many years of concerts, nativity plays, pantomimes and other performances.

“Her heart for the village of Abertridwr has seen the children involved in all manner of community events, and staff and children encouraged to support local projects.

“She will be sorely missed and the school is hoping to have a big celebration of her career when current restrictions are lifted.”
