Man wanted for throwing rocks at Newbridge Leisure Centre

Police are appealing for information after a man was seen throwing rocks at Newbridge Leisure Centre – which is currently operating as a coronavirus mass vaccination centre.

A person, believed to be a man, was caught on CCTV throwing rocks at the leisure centre and nearby Newbridge Comprehensive School at around 8.10pm on Saturday, March 6.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, which is operating the mass vaccination centre at Newbridge, has confirmed the centre’s operations were unaffected by the attack.

Anyone with information that could assist our investigation is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log reference 2100080042.

Police can also be contact us via social media on Facebook and Twitter or you can report any information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
