Covid passes are now compulsory in cinemas, theatres and concert halls in Wales.
The new rules, which were backed by Senedd Members last week, came into force on Monday, November 15.
Since October 11, people have needed to show evidence of either being fully vaccinated or having a recent negative Covid test in order to enter nightclubs or large events, such as sports matches.
Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney MS Dawn Bowden, who is the Welsh Government’s Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, said: “Extending the use of the Covid Pass to cinemas, theatres and concert halls is another way we can strengthen the measures we have in place to keep us all safe.
“I understand the challenges this sector has faced during the pandemic – this will help keep these businesses open during the difficult autumn and winter months ahead.
“We want to do everything we can to keep Wales open and to keep Wales safe and to give people the confidence to return to these venues.”
Wales’ Health Minister, Eluned Morgan, said the feedback the Welsh Government has had since introducing Covid passes in October “suggests the system is working well”.
Mrs Morgan added: “We will continue to work with the sectors introducing the pass to support them.”
People who are fully vaccinated are able to download the NHS Covid Pass to prove their vaccination status. It also allows people to show they have had a negative lateral flow test result within the last 48 hours.
