Caerphilly town centre will host its annual winter food and craft fair this weekend.
More than 60 stalls will be set up on Saturday, December 3, along with a range of children’s funfair rides and street theatre entertainment.
The fair, which is free to enter, gets underway at 9am and runs until 8pm.
It culminates with the River of Light Lantern Parade, which starts at 6.30pm, and a fireworks display from 7.15pm.

The lantern parade, which is funded by Caerphilly Town Council and organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council, will start from Crescent Road on the grassed area opposite Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields.
The parade, which will be the first since 2019 due to Covid, will flow through Dafydd Williams Park, before finishing at the Twyn car park ready for the fireworks.
In total, 921 lanterns were made during lantern-making workshops held at the Twyn Community Centre and Caerphilly Library during November – with 1,045 people attending the workshops.
Christmas events across the borough

Winter food and craft fairs have already been held in Ystrad Mynach and Blackwood, with Bargoed hosting its fair on Saturday, December 10.
More than 9,000 visitors attended the event in Ystrad Mynach on November 19 – the highest amount of people to ever an event in the town, according to the council.
A similar number of visitors attended the Blackwood fair.
John Hold, clerk of Blackwood Town Council, said: “Given the appalling weather, the number of people in town on Saturday shows there is an appetite for such community events in the town and they will readily support them. Congratulations and thanks to the borough council’s events team for organising this event.”
