Members of the Ladies Club

Aberbargoed Ladies Club is starting up on January 3 at the Arthur Balfour Club.

The event is billed as a ‘social evening’ and is open to ‘all ladies from Caerphilly County Borough’, according to Lisa James, who is associated with the group.

“There’s a lovely fun atmosphere and a very warm welcome waiting,” said Lisa about the group, adding that there are people in the group from 18 to 80 years old.

Activities include bingo, tote, raffles and quizzes.  Members of the group pay £1 weekly and this money goes towards transport and events throughout the year including summer and Christmas shopping trips.

The club starts at 7pm and finishes around 9.30pm.
