Costumes – such as those from Peaky Blinders and the 1920s – are ‘compulsory’

A Bargoed restaurant and bar will hold a ‘Peaky Blinders’ party in memory of a friend and customer and to raise money for charity.

Murray’s, a Bar and Grill, will host a themed 1920s fancy dress party, based around the TV show Peaky Blinders, to help raise money and celebrate the memory of a friend and customer known as Skid.

Money raised will go to charities chosen by his family which are close to him and his family including British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

Murray’s took to Facebook to describe the event: ”With January fast approaching it’ll mark a sad occasion for everyone at Murray’s as well as the community of Bargoed.

“Last January we lost not just a loyal customer but a true friend. It was [a] sudden loss for us all & in memory of this person we will be holding an event to help raise money for charities chosen by his family.”

There will be live music at the event from St Louis Express, who have performed at other ‘Peaky Blinders’ events

It is set to be a ‘blinding evening’ with live entertainment from St Louis Express, a seven-piece band which plays swing and jazz, as well as a few promised surprises.

The event will take place on January 27 and will start at 7pm.
Tickets are £15 and can be purchased on eventbrite.
