New trains are coming to the Rhymney line
Train journeys are disrupted in many areas due to heavy rain

Rhymney and Bargoed train services are currently disrupted due to heavy rain, according to Transport for Wales.

Passengers are advised to check their journey before travelling with some services delayed by more than an hour.

An agreement has been made with Stagecoach so that passengers who have tickets for the Rhymney line can use the bus.

Transport for Wales told Caerphilly Observer: “There’s a lot of disruption across the network in South Wales due to flooding and other weather-related incidents such as fallen trees.

“Passengers are advised to check for the latest travel information before making their journeys.”
