Deri Community Centre has sponsored the event and will hold it on May 14

Broadway is coming to Deri this May to help raise funds for charity.

‘Broadway Lights’ is a new show billed as a “glittering journey through the musicals” and will take place at Deri Community Centre on May 14.

The event is also sponsored by the centre and all proceeds will go to Velindre Cancer Centre.

This follows the Broadway-themed show, West End to Broadway, that took place in December at the same venue.

Gareth Edward Evans, the show’s producer, wrote more about the event on Facebook and said: “I’m so happy and proud to announce that the Deri Community Centre committee has again so kindly decided to sponsor this event!

“Broadway Lights will be an all-new show that will not disappoint!”

Singer Richard Poynter, who has also starred in a production of Cinderella, will be the lead male vocalist. There will also be special guests and a licensed bar.

Tickets are £7.50 and can be purchased by contacting Gareth Edward Evans on Facebook or on 07534160383.

The event will take place in Deri Community Centre this May
