Police raided an undisclosed address in Bargoed on February 28

Two people have been arrested after following two separate early morning police raids in Bargoed.

Two properties were searched through warrants executed under The Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 19-year-old man from Bargoed was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class-B drugs, while a 24-year-old man, also from Bargoed, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class-B drugs. They were taken into custody for questioning.

Officers also seized a quantity of cannabis and cash during the raids.

Sergeant Thomas Brookes said: “The arrests and seizures this morning were the latest proactive actions taken by neighbourhood police officers in Caerphilly north to tackle illegal drug supply.

“We’re committed to protecting our communities and hope this morning’s warrants go some way in reassuring the public that we relentlessly target drug offences.”
