A 28-year-old charged with manslaughter following the death of Benjamin Lloyd earlier this month has been refused bail.
Jay Webster of Caerphilly Road, Senghenydd, was denied bail at a hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Wednesday April 19.
He is set to appear at Newport Crown Court on Wednesday May 3.
Mr Lloyd, 27, was found unresponsive at an address on Cefn Ilan Road, Abertridwr, at around 9.45am on Sunday April 2.
Mr Lloyd’s family described him as “one of life’s true gentlemen” in a tribute issued through Gwent Police.
