Welsh sitcom The Tuckers will not be renewed for a fourth season, BBC Wales has announced.
The show, which was written by and stars Welsh actor Steve Speirs, first aired in January 2020 and was later commissioned for a second and third series.
It follows the fortunes of the Tucker family, a close-knit extended family of ‘loveable rogues’ who earn their living in a number of ways – many of which are on ‘the wrong side of the law’.
The comedy also starred Fresh Meat actors Kimberley Nixon and Ben McGregor and is set in the fictional village of Tregarreg – but many of the scenes in the show were filmed in Senghenydd.

St Cenydd Comprehensive School’s performing arts teacher John Davies, who goes by the stage name John Weldon, also had a recurring role in the series.
Announcing its axing, Speirs said on Twitter: “For all those asking about the next series of TUCKERS…Sadly, Its not been recommissioned. To everyone who followed the lives of Peggy, Billy,Bobby, Nats, Shaks, Lush, Clock , Dawn and Melvyn… THANK YOU.”
Kimberley Nixon, who grew up in Pontypridd, played Lush. She said on Instagram: “We won’t be coming back for a series four but I have the most incredible memories of working with the most incredible people.
“We laughed so much. We got to make something at home.”
