Residents across Caerphilly County Borough came together over the weekend to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

Street parties were among the festivities over the Bank Holiday weekend, as they were last year for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

On the day Charles III was crowned King, Ystrad Mynach’s boxing sensation Lauren Price MBE was crowned the first-ever British Female Welterweight champion.

The weekend also saw Caerphilly Male Voice Choir perform for King and country at the Coronation Concert, where volunteer heroes Rachel Walby, 42, and Marian Curtis, 75, were among those named Coronation Champions by the Royal Voluntary Service.

Caerphilly Observer readers have sent in their pictures from what was a historic weekend, with our favourites included below.
