Wales have been seeded through to the second round at this month’s World Cup of Darts.
Markham’s Gerwyn Price teams up with Carmarthenshire’s Jonny Clayton once again for Wales this year, with the duo having won the competition together back in 2020.
It is the sixth consecutive year the duo have represented their country together in the annual competition, which is played in a doubles format.
Wales have been seeded alongside England (Michael Smith and Rob Cross) and the Netherlands (Michael van Gerwen and Danny Noppert), as well as Scotland (Peter Wright and Gary Anderson).
Australia’s Simon Whitlock and Damon Heta go into the world cup as reigning champions.
The competition is being held in Frankfurt, Germany, between June 15 and June 18 – with an £80,00 prize up for grabs for the winners.
The four seeded teams join the competition after the group stage, and will begin their campaigns on June 17.
The competition has been revamped for this year, with 40 nations competing.
