A free poetry booklet written by Caerphilly locals is set to be launched this July.

Tatws Siôn Cent is a poetry booklet made by the Aber Valley for the Aber Valley community.

It’s named after Siôn Cent, a Medieval Welsh poet who was born in Abertridwr.

The first edition will be launched on Sunday July 2 at a free event in the Aber Hotel, Abertridwr from 4pm to 6pm.

The event promises to be creative, friendly and inclusive and some of the poets included in the first edition will read their work.

There will also be an open mic section so where anyone can get up and read their poetry.

Financial support has been provided by Aber Valley Community Council.
