Markham’s Gerwyn Price reached the semi-finals of the Poland Darts Masters in Warsaw over the weekend.
World number four Price saw off Lukasz Waclawski 6-3 in the opening round before defeating Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals by the same margin.
However, it was not to be for Price, who was narrowly beaten 7-6 in the semi-finals by Belgium’s Dimitri van den Bergh.
Van den Bergh went on to lose in the final to Michael van Gerwen.
The World Series of Darts continues next month with the New Zealand Darts Masters, followed by the New South Wales Darts Masters in Australia a week later.
Price’s focus now turns towards the World Matchplay, which is in Blackpool between Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 23.
