Bedwas, Trethomas and Machen (BTM) Community Garden is set to host a free ‘transport and motor day’, featuring more than 50 classic cars and the original motorbike ridden by Caerphilly legend Malcolm Uphill.
Machen and Rudry councillor Chris Morgan has helped organise the event for the second time, which will start at 12pm on Sunday September 17.
Cllr Morgan said: “It should be a great day. We’ve made sure it’s free because it’s a community garden that volunteers helped build and we feel like we should give something back.
“As well as the cars there will be four very old buses and of course the motorbike which was once ridden by Malcolm Uphill.
“The public will also be free to visit the council office as I know most people haven’t done so.”
As well as the classic vehicles, there will be free tea and coffee, circus games for children and a performance by Caerphilly Male Voice Choir at 2pm from Bedwas Workmen’s Hall.
