Motorcyclist, 50, dies in A472 collision between Nelson and Tredomen

The A472, Tredomen

A 50-year-old man has died following a collision on the A472 between Nelson and Tredomen over the weekend.

The incident, which involved a motorbike, happened at around 4pm on Saturday September 9.

In a statement, Gwent Police said: “Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Service.

“The rider, a 50-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.”

Police are investigating and want to speak to anyone who was travelling on the A472 between 3pm and 4pm on the day of the incident, or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the area.
