Markham’s Gerwyn Price has withdrawn from the German Darts Championship.
Price has not travelled to Germany for the tournament, which gets underway on Friday October 13.
He has been replaced by Ross Smith, who will face either Vincent van der Voort or Daryl Gurney in the second round, which starts on Saturday October 14.
No reason has been given for Price’s withdrawal.
The competition, being held in Hildesheim, will conclude on Sunday.
Welshman Jonny Clayton, from Carmarthenshire, will enter the tournament in the second round.
