Five men, including four from Caerphilly County Borough, have been charged following Gwent Police drug raids.

Drugs and mobile phones were seized by police after search warrants were carried out on Thursday October 26.

Two men from Fochriw, aged 21 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

A 22-year-old man from Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, was also arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

Meanwhile, two Bargoed men, aged 19 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of supplying class B drugs.

All five have now been charged and will appear before Newport Magistrate’s Court on Friday October 27.

According to section 37 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, “supplying”  includes “distributing and does not require proof of payment or reward”.
