Sight Cymru has unveiled its new ‘vintage and retro corner’ at its Blackwood charity shop.

It has been launched with a poppy-adorned window display commemorating Remembrance, featuring genuine items from the 1940s.

Over the coming months, the retro section will feature themes such as the rock n’ roll 50s, swinging 60s and more.

The retro clothing and accessories are on sale to raise money for Sight Cymru.

The charity was formed in 1865 as the Gwent Association for the Blind and later became known as Sight Support before rebranding as Sight Cymru. It is an independent charity and provides services across Wales.

The charity opened its Blackwood shop earlier this year on 215 High Street and sells clothing, toys, books, DVDs and CDs and more.
