Beautiful Remembrance service in Blackwood this morning with special performances from the local school.
I was in Bargoed and Caerphilly this year for our Remembrance Sunday. Thank you @PoppyLegion and the very many people from our community who participated. pic.twitter.com/NhHzHWJTJ0
Despite the weather, there was a great turnout at Caerphilly for the Remembrance Service this afternoon. There was also a good number at Bargoed this morning. Jayne and I were so pleased to be at both. @PoppyLegion@CaerphillyCBC#LestWeForgetpic.twitter.com/vNKkksWBsn
Such a great turnout, it was almost as if the whole of Pontllanfraith was at the Cenotaph today to remember our fallen. Good to see @ccbc mayor Cllr Mike Adams, Colin Gordon, Pat Cook and @rhi4islwynpic.twitter.com/up1IoYi1JQ

Today we gathered in Caerphilly to proclaim we will: "Strive for all that makes for peace, seek to heal the wounds of war and work for a just future for all humanity."
Communities the length & breadth of #Islwyn gathered at local war memorials to pay their respects to those who have died to preserve our freedoms. Wreaths were laid on behalf of myself as the MS for Islwyn at #Cwmcarn Memorial Garden and in #Maesycwmmer. #RemembanceSundaypic.twitter.com/llaenvC9cL
