Caerphilly County Borough Council has secured £1million to build a brand new 3G pitch, but is yet to decide where.

The council announced during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday November 15 that the £1million grant funding had been secured through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

This pitch will be built in addition to the 3G surface set to be installed in Risca to replace an outdated AstroTurf pitch.

There’s currently no timeline in place to decide where or when the new pitch will be built, as the council explore ‘suitable options’.
