Go on a quick tour of Rhymney’s refurbished library

Rhymney Library finally reopened on January 8 with a new look after its £400,000 refurbishment.

The library was originally due to open in the summer of 2023 but was set back by several delays, including vandalism.

On January 11, Caerphilly Observer took a quick tour of the new-look site.

The new improvements include a refurbished ground and first floor, improved Wi-fi, private meeting rooms, and a learning space on the first floor called the ‘Idris Davies Community Learning Hub’.

There is also a new “cross-generational” mural which was painted by artist Siôn Tomos Owen with help from local schoolchildren and residents.

Rhymney Library is open from 9.30am to 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 9.30am to 5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
