The arrests were made on the A469

Two people were arrested on suspicion of robbery and drug dealing following a police chase which started in Pontlottyn.

A 26-year-old man from Caerphilly and a 26-year-old woman from Merthyr Tydfil were arrested on the A469 near Rhymney on Thursday February 16.

They have both been released on bail.

According to Gwent Police, the car was stolen and driving with false number plates.

Officers followed the car, which ultimately ended in a bush after colliding with a police vehicle.

Officers had to smash the window to arrest the pair after the driver attempted to drive away.

The car ended up in a ditch following the pursuit
