Cardiff Queen Street

Rail replacement buses will be replacing services along the Rhymney and Ebbw Valley lines over the Easter period.

Transport for Wales (TfW) has announced no trains will pass through or stop at Cardiff Queen Street starting from Friday March 29.

The closure is so TfW can make “signalling and track upgrades” to the station, which is due to be electrified by the end of 2024 as part of the South Wales Metro scheme.

Trains to and through Cardiff Queen Street will be replaced by a bus up to and including Monday April 1.

Normal service will resume as of Tuesday April 2.
