Caerphilly Council is inviting tender offers for a childcare service at Cwrt Rawlin Primary School.

The school has a unit on the site for “children and families of the local area”, but the council has issued a “call for competition” to run the service from September 2024.

According to an advert, the council said the school would like to provide a morning and afternoon playgroup and wraparound service, as well as childcare during the school holidays.

The school’s governing body is inviting expressions of interest from childcare providers which are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales.

The tender is “open to existing providers who wish to develop new satellite provisions, new providers, and to childminders who wish to register as a group-based provision for two-year-olds and upwards”, according to the advert.

The closing date to submit expressions of interest is April 17, and more information on the application process can be found on sell2wales.gov.wales.
