The former Lloyds TSB bank branch in Rhymney

A former bank in Rhymney could be turned into five flats under plans submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council.

The building, on 58 to 59 High Street, was a Lloyds Bank until 2019 and could be turned into four one-bedroom and one two-bedroom flats.

Mr B Morgan from Pontlottyn made the application on March 27.

Labour councillor Carl Cuss, who represents the Twyn Carno ward, commented on the plans on his public Facebook page. He said: “The owner is local so I will seek assurances from them about their plans and who they intend to house there so the community are aware.”

The application can be viewed in full on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 24/0239/COU.
