The Community Empowerment Fund is a Caerphilly Council scheme, where money is given to each councillor to support local projects and initiatives in their ward.

Machen Legion also benefited from the funding, receiving £1,981 for table and chairs, whilst Machen Primary School welcomed a £1,390 grant for new play equipment.

Rhydri Primary School also received £1,092 for flyers, posters, a marquee, and an activity club.
