Houses were evacuated by police and roads closed after a large fire ripped through a garage in Rhymney.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to Hill Street at around 4.48pm on Monday July 29.
Fire crews from Aberbargoed, Caerphilly, Ebbw Vale, and Merthyr Tydfil were all called to the scene to extinguish the fire, which was put out at around 8.55pm.
An environmental impact assessment was carried out at the site Natural Resources Wales.
However, the fire service said “no further fire investigation will be possible” due to the “instability of the structure” – with the cause of the blaze undetermined.
Roads were reopened at around 9.30pm.
