A 39-year-old man has been arrested after a police drugs raid in Cefn Fforest – with Class A drugs, mobile phones, and drug paraphernalia seized.

Gwent Police raided a property at around 11am on Friday August 2.

The man, who is from the Cefn Fforest area, was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

Speaking after the raid, DS Hackney, of Gwent Police, said: “This morning, our team carried out a warrant under the misuse of drugs act, removed drugs from the streets and made an arrest.

“Illegal drugs and all offences associated with supply can have a devastating effect – not only on vulnerable people, but on our towns.”

DS Hackney said the force is working “relentlessly” to target organised criminals and act on information about potential drug supply in the community.

He continued: “If you have any information or concerns about drug offences in your area, please make a report by visiting our website, sending us a direct message on social media or by calling 101.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
