Wales’s first-ever Hado team will compete at the European Championships in England next months.
Hado is a fast-paced AR (augmented reality) sport, combining physical activity with digital gameplay, requiring both athletic skill and strategic acumen.
Players use headsets and armbands to launch virtual energy balls and shields in a game of speed and precision.
The newly formed Welsh Hado team, comprising some of the most talented and dedicated players in the country, secured their place at the European Championships after an intense qualifying requirements.
Esports Wales described the country’s participation in the championships as a “significant milestone” in Welsh esports history.
What is Esports Wales?
Esports Wales is the national body responsible for developing and promoting competitive gaming in Wales. Its stated mission is to nurture and support Welsh talent in the world of esports, providing opportunities for players of all levels to compete, learn, and grow.
The organisation says it is committed to building a thriving esports community in Wales, fostering innovation, and showcasing Welsh excellence on the global stage.
