Update: Gwent Police has confirmed the issue has now been fixed
Gwent Police has this morning (Friday August 23) told the public to message the force via social media instead as it works to get its 999 and 111 lines back working.
The message was posted at around 9am on social media, with Gwent Police apologising for any inconvenience caused.
