A Caerphilly chip shop has been praised for its food hygiene standards after a visit from inspectors.

Express Takeaway, in Castle View, has received a five-star food hygiene rating following a visit from Caerphilly County Borough Council officials last month.

The business was rated ‘very good’ for the cleanliness and conditions of its facilities and building.

It was also rated ‘good’ for its hygienic food handling, and its management of food safety.

A spokesperson for Express Takeaway said: “Thank you to our team and customers. We are so happy to get five stars after investing a lot into the shop.

“We’re committed to maintaining the high standards our customers have already experienced and will continue to exceed all expectations.”
