Ffos Caerffili welcomed visitors on Friday April 5
Ffos Caerffili opened in Caerphilly town centre in April

A Welsh-themed cards and gifts shop is the latest pop-up business to open at Ffos Caerffili.

Tidy Arts began trading at the container-style market on September 17, and will continue offering its personalised products there until October 13.

Start-up business hub Welsh ICE, which is based on Caerphilly Business Park, has a unit at Ffos Caerffili, which it is offering to local traders on flexible 28-day leases. The idea is to provide a stepping stone for businesses, allowing them to gauge market demand.

Tidy Arts is the third business to trade out of the unit, following Bishop, Please! and Karen L’s Creation.

The design firm produces a range of Welsh-language cards and bespoke gifts, which can be tailored with personalised messages or photos.

Andrew Wood, founder of Tidy Arts, said: “We specialise in creating Welsh-themed cards and gifts that can be personalised for any occasion.

“This pop-up allows us to offer a unique experience, where customers can add their own text and photos to our designs, with everything printed on-site while they wait.”

Alongside Tidy Arts, Bespoke Quizzing will also be featured at the pop-up, offering a range of custom quiz games.

Rachel Harris, chief creative officer at Welsh ICE, said she was “incredibly pleased” with how the pop-up initiative has been going.

It’s wonderful to see local businesses like Tidy Arts bringing their creativity and passion to the heart of Caerphilly,” she said.

“The feedback from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s great to witness the way these entrepreneurs are connecting with customers in new and exciting ways.

“We’re looking forward to seeing many more success stories like this.”
