It was a disappointing weekend for Caerphilly County Borough’s sides in the National Premiership, with all three teams dropping points.
Cross Keys were beaten on their travels, losing 47-22 to Neath, while Newbridge fell to a 22-0 defeat away to Pontypridd.
Bargoed meanwhile were held to a 27-27 draw in Cyncoed when they faced Cardiff Met.
Down in the National Championship East, Ynysddu also tasted defeat – losing 50-32 at home to The Wanderers.
But things were much rosier for Bedwas, who earned a convincing 36-3 win at home to Cambrian Welfare.
Meanwhile, Penallta drew 22-22 away to Rumney.
Over in Division 1 East, Nelson earned their first league win of the season, beating Abergavenny 27-22 at home.

Meanwhile, Abercarn got their season up and running with a 19-5 win over winless Risca in an all-Islwyn affair.
Elsewhere, a dominant Caerphilly made it three wins from three in Division 2 East Central, dismantling Pentyrch 59-15 at Virginia Park to maintain their early grip at the top of the table.

Other games in the division saw Rhymney beat Caerleon 27-25 away, while Abertysswg Falcons got the better of New Panteg, winning 20-15 to secure their first league victory of 2024/25.
But it was Fleur de Lys who remain top after three games, beating Nantyglo 34-3 at home.
Over in Division 4 East, Bedwellty made it two wins from two after beating Llanhilleth 34-27, but Pontllanfraith still await their maiden win having lost 29-14 at home to RTB Ebbw Vale.
