A dispersal order will be in place in Rhymney this weekend following a “recent increase in antisocial behaviour”.

Gwent Police has said the 48-hour order, which begins at 6pm on Friday October 18, will cover Wellington Way and Plantation Terrace.

It will be lifted at 6pm on Sunday October 20.

Police will have the power to stop people from entering these areas between this time if they believe they have engaged or will engage in antisocial behaviour.

If they return to those areas after being moved on, they face being arrested.
