An author researching Caerphilly town’s fallen World War I soldiers is appealing for more information from relatives of the names listed on the town’s cenotaph.

Paul Williams, who lives in Caerphilly, has been researching the 186 soldiers listed on the war memorial – and currently has detailed information on 160 of them.

However, Mr Williams would like to reach out to relatives of the soldiers, who may have more information or photographs, as part of his research.

He is hoping to release a book detailing Caerphilly’s war dead in 2025.

Anyone with information or photographs can contact Mr Williams on caerphillywd1060@gmail.com
