Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was found overturned in a ditch in Oakdale.

The incident resulted in the blue Citroen C1 being found near Foxes Lane at around 3.30pm on Friday September 20.

The driver, a 38-year-old woman from Pontllanfraith, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving, and drug driving.

Both the woman and the other occupants of the car were taken to hospital with non life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

Despite the incident taking place in September, Gwent Police now believe witnesses had left the scene before their officers had arrived.

The force is asking anyone who may have seen the collision to contact 101, or by messaging them via social media quoting log number 2400315443.
