Friday November 1

💀 A Halloween Movie Marathon is at Newbridge Memo from 3pm to midnight. Free tickets available from the Memo website or collect on the door.

🎤 A night of comedy at Blackwood Miners’ Institute with Leroy Brito, Tom Toal, and James Cook at 8pm. Tickets cost £15 and are available online.

Saturday November 2

🖌 Caerphilly Artisan Market is being held between 10am and 2pm at the Twyn Community Centre.

🧟‍♀️ Creepy Con at Newbridge Memo is a comic-con style event from 11am to 6pm. Stalls, book launch, costume competition, board games and Halloween films. Further details for the free event can be found on the Memo website. 

🎃 A children’s Halloween party (for ages four to 11) is being held by Blackwood Town Football Club between 12pm and 2pm at The Rolling Jack at Islwyn Indoor Bowls Centre in Pontllanfraith.

Tickets cost £8, with money going to the club, and can be bought online.

The football club is also hosting a ‘Roaring 20s’ themed Halloween party at the same venue between 7pm and 11pm. Tickets for this event cost between £10 and £15 and can be bought online here.

🤠 Calling all barn dancers. Shappelles Dance Centre in Ystrad Mynach is holding a ‘rootin, tootin’ dance event in aid of Velindre. Fancy dress welcome. Tickets are available from the centre at £15 for adults and £10 for under-16s.

Sunday November 3

🎵 A Remembrance service is being held at 2pm at Blackwood Town Cricket Club, with entertainment from 3.30pm from X-Factor contestant Rusell Jones. Everyone welcome.

Wednesday November 6

💻Risca Library holds its regular weekly Code Club between 4pm and 5pm. Please contact library staff for more information and to express interest. 01443 864780 or email librisca@caerphilly.gov.uk

Thursday November 7

🗣 English language classes for non-native speakers are held every Wednesday at Rhymney Library between 1pm and 3pm.

🎤 Comedian Ed Byrne is at Blackwood Miners’ Institute. Tickets are available from the venue’s website and cost £32.75.

Friday November 8

🚶‍♂️The Rhymney Social Strollers will be doing the John Jones Walk starting at 10am from William Street, Hollybush.

Saturday November 9

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Tribute act The Manic-Phonics Experience are performing at Blackwood RFC with doors open 7pm. Over 18s only, admission costs £7.

👨‍🎤 The Bowie Experience is at Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £16.50 and are available from the hall’s website.

🎆‘Rockets up the Rock’ firework display by the Art of Sparks at Graig y Rhacca Football Field at 6pm.
