A row of electric vehicle charging points could be installed in Caerphilly’s Castle View Shopping Centre.

The small retail park – home to brands like Tesco, Greggs and Subway – currently contains more than 50 parking spaces.

But a row of spaces, nearest to Cae Meillion, could be replaced with a series of EV chargers.

Backing for new vets’ practice for town retail park

Plans submitted by applicant SSE Utility Solutions Limited show four charging stations could be installed, providing power to up to eight vehicles at any one time.

One of the proposed spaces would be more accessible, such as for blue badge holders, designs show.

The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 24/0881/FULL.
